Omelet in a Bag

Omelet in a Bag

When you are camping, it is often hard to make an omelet. However with this easy recipe you can make it ahead of time, freeze it and cook at the campsite. Here are the easy directions. Ingredients for 1 bag: 2 eggs, 2 slices of cooked and chopped ham or crumbled fried bacon, 1 tablespoon of chopped red peppers, 1-teaspoon chopped onion, ¼ c. mushrooms, and ¼ c. shredded cheese and salt and white pepper to taste. Mix and place in a pint size freezer bag. Make enough for each member of your group. Freeze. When ready to camp out, place all bags on ice. Keep cold. When ready to cook, heat pan of boiling water and carefully lower bags. Cook approximately 10-12 minutes. Carefully remove and cool. Open bag and place on plate. Serve with link sausages and biscuit. Happy camping with this bag omelet idea.
