Cooking outdoors continues even when the weather becomes colder. There are always tailgating parties, over night car rallies, hunting parties and bonfires. A treat that was eaten at a car rally was the chocolate crescents pictured above. The pies may be prepared ahead of time and heated on the campfire. Or the ingredients may be taken to the campsite and prepared there. Whatever way you want to do it, try the chocolate half moon pies next time you go camping.
