Want to make biscuits without an oven? Try this method.
Cut a slender stick from a tree branch that is about arm's length. Strip all the bark from the stick. Mix 1 cup biscuit mix and 1/4 cup water or milk. Form a dough. Make a ball of dough and wrap it around the stick.
Hold the stick/wooden skewer over hot campfire coals and bake. Turn as your biscuit cooks to evenly brown.
Cooks in about 10 minutes, depending on the heat of the coals.
For a tasty topping: Make honey butter with 1/4 c. butter and 1 T. honey.
Dip in honey butter and ENJOY!!!
