Up, Up and Away Grill Sloppy Joes

Up, Up and Away Grill Sloppy Joes

3 lbs. hamburger meat

1 pkg. sloppy joe mix

1 can tomato sauce

1 cup water

12 hamburger buns

Spray bottom of Dutch oven and heat over grill. When a drop of water dances in the bottom, it is hot enough to add the hamburger meat. Use spatula to break meat apart and scramble until done. When done, add mix, sauce and water. Stir well and let simmer on the back part of grill for about 20 minutes. Serve on buns. Tossed salad and chili beans make excellent side dishes.

Chili beans

Large can of pork and beans

1 can chopped tomatoes with spices

1 pkg. chili mix

Toss together in a Dutch oven and heat. Serve with Sloppy Joes and tossed salad. (I take pre-packaged salad in an air tight serving container that is kept cool. When ready to serve, I just open air tight container and allow everyone to serve themselves and add their favorite bottled dressing.)

Note: If saving left-overs, store in air tight containers and keep cool until heated over grill again.
